I am so happy to share the news here...Even though its too late, but am so happy that Kerala Government honoured my Master Shri Ayamkudi Kuttappa Marar with Pallavur Appu Marar Award.
Shri Ayamkudi Kuttappa Marar is a great in the field of Kathakali chenda melam, thayambaka,... evthing in chenda.
Am so lucky to be one of his students.. but as said in my earlier post feeling so sad about the missing activities in chenda..

RECOGNITION: Minister for Culture M.A. Baby presenting the Pallavur Appu Marar Award to Ayamkudi Kuttappa Marar on the Nila campus of the Kalamandalam, at Cheruthuruthy on Sunday.

RECOGNITION: Minister for Culture M.A. Baby presenting the Pallavur Appu Marar Award to Ayamkudi Kuttappa Marar on the Nila campus of the Kalamandalam, at Cheruthuruthy on Sunday.
Cultural Affairs Minister M. A. Baby presented the Pallavur Appu Marar Award to Karimbuzha Gopi Poduval and Ayamkudi Kuttappa Marar. Babu M. Palissery, MLA, poet O.N.V. Kurup, Tourism Secretary V. Venu, Kathakali maestro Kalamandalam Gopi, percussion maestro Mattannur Sankarankutty, Vasanthi Menon, Kalamandalam Vice-Chancellor K.G. Poulose and Registrar N.R. Gramaprakash were present on the occasion.
